The X Boat
The X Boat is a simple training and racing vessel, intended for junior sailors ages 16 & under.
It has been the mainstay of youth sailing in the Lake Country area since the early to mid 1900s. Countless young kids have learned to crew on these double-handed boats, only to take over as a skipper once they gain enough experience.
Training
In the X boat program, sailors will practice boat handling and teamwork while also learning rules and strategy. Each skipper must have his/her own boat and crew. Contact us if you need help finding a boat, partner, or substitute.
Racing
With on-lake races and off-lake regattas, the X class provides camaraderie and fun for all! See below for additional information on how to get your child involved.
